26 June, 2012 – Second Report

Hi All:

To God be the Glory!

Thankfully, the work is progressing satisfactorily.  We have moved from the first stage of our project, the cutting of large trees that were lining the front boundary of Race Course Cemetery to the second stage, removal of tree stumps.  The third stage started on 30 May 2012 with the purchase of twenty (20) trips of sand and one hundred (100) bags of cement for the beating of blocks.  One hundred and eighty eight (188) bags of cement have now produced four thousand and sixteen (4016) blocks.  The fourth stage, the “turning of the sod” ceremony and commencement of foundation work was by The Acting Mayor of Freetown on Tuesday, 19 June 2012 in the presence of all the stakeholders in the community.  Please see the latest accounts and photographs attached herewith.

Further progress greatly depends on the weather, now that the rainy season is upon us and the funds available.

We can now also count on the support of  James International (Overland Cargo Specialists) of Race Course Road, Cline Town for selling Cement to the project at cost price; delivering them and agreeing to transport the blocks to the sight when required.

Special thanks to Mr Musa A. Kamara, General Manager, Tumac Group of Companies, our able Project Manager for his precious advice and assistance.

We want to get a lot more people involved to ensure a speedy conclusion.

I say thank you very much to everyone involved and to all who are taking this worthy project forward.

Looking forward to your continued prayers and support.

Ronald Andrew Lisk-Carew.
