Supported by Freetown City Council.

31 October, 2012 – Fourth Report

Hi All:

To God be the Glory!

Exciting news!!  So far the Sierra Leone Bicentenary Trust (SLBT), a UK Registered Charity has secured an impressive forty four million six hundred and fifteen thousand Leones (Le44,615,000) and spent twenty four million four hundred and thirty five thousand seven hundred and fifty Leones(Le24,435,750).  Thanks very much to all those who have made donations towards this Race Course Fencing Project.  Raising the total funds needed in our budget plan has been difficult due to the global economic climate.  Therefore, the need for more people to contribute could not be overemphasised to ensure the speedy conclusion of this venture.

It truly is a great pleasure to welcome Emmanuel and Miatta Greywood as Trustees of the Sierra Leone Bicentenary Trust (SLBT).  Based in Sierra Leone, they have been active and supportive of this project in particular, which is very encouraging.

As the attached photographs show, TUMAC Construction Company has done an incredible job.  They have played a vital role in constructing an impressive eighteen (18) panels and fifteen (15) pillars so far.

We need more people to participate in the next few weeks.  Volunteers are also needed to help with the “Excavations” and “Earthworks”.  The more people involved will make sure of a speedy conclusion of this venture.

It says a lot about a society how they care for their dead.  In this connection, please help this worthy project to care for the final resting place of our loved ones.  Contributions of £20, $20, Le100,000 or more will go a long way in fencing the Race Course Cemetery.

All funds are accounted for in our bi-monthly statement of expenditure on the project.

We are looking forward to your continued prayers and support.

Ronald Andrew Lisk-Carew.

Chair, Sierra Leone Bicentenary Trust, Registered Charity No:700447, England.

We hope to produce detailed accounts like the one below, on a regular basis, as we progress.
